Because I pretty much have my own computer now, I kind of feel obligated to write something. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to say. Big surprise there, right?
So, my sister has been staying with us for the last week. She's visiting from Maui. I like having her around. And it's not just because she compulsively cleans my house and watches my kids. I really just enjoy having her around. She's my best friend and I can be goofy with her in a way I can't really be around anyone else. Of course that's because she's known me her whole life and we've got tons of inside jokes and dirt on each other. She's a sweet girl and I'm so blessed to have her as my sister. I miss having her around all the time.
Ah, I'd finally gotten settled and Moses starts crying. That kid is like clockwork. We really need to get him trained to sleep through the night. I suppose it's kind of my fault. He's so cuddly.
I suppose I ought to wrap this up for now. It's later than I thought. But I do want to tell one cute story before I forget about it completely.
A few weeks ago Joseph and I were trying to get Akiko to eat her vegetables at dinner. One of us finally said, "You know superheroes and princesses eat their vegetables." And Akiko tilts her head and says, "But I not a superhero or a princess. I'm just a little girl named Akiko." What could we say to that one? It was so funny, we let her get away with not eating them that time. At least the girl loves broccoli. She'll eat bowlful after bowlful.

Been a while

Heather, you're my inspiration.
My friend Heather has this awesome blog. I'd figure out how to link you to it, but not right now. I just want to post a quick blog to let you know I'm still alive.
We're moving soon. In a little over a week. I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed. Joseph will be out of town that weekend, so I won't worry about moving all the big stuff till he gets home. It seems like it was easier moving from Hawaii to Utah last year than it is just moving down the street. I hate moving. All the packing and unpacking and not knowing exactly where everything is. This time especially because some of our stuff is in St. George, some of it at my mom's and some of it at my dad's. What a pain.
That's getting me depressed and slightly anxious.
The kids are great. Yes, now we have two. Of course, Moses is six months old already. And Akiko turned three last April. They grow so fast. I just uploaded the picture. It didn't quite turn out where I wanted it. Oh well, there they are. I better post this now so Aki can look at herself. Perhaps I'll write more once Joseph gets home from work and I'll have time to sit and think about what I want to write.
